College basketball is back! What a great opportunity to learn set plays, clock management, inbounds, time and score, substitutions, and skills too. Grayson Allen used 11 dribbles to score 37 points last night. 8 points of the 37 came from the FT line. He had possessions with no dribbles, 1 dribble, or 2 dribbles. That tells me two things: #1 Efficient use of the dribble #2 Moved without the ball in his hand. The ability to score at all three levels is important and something that players can develop with purposeful practice and training. Level #1 - At the rim Level #2 - Midrange - Jump Shots off 1 or 2 dribbles Level #3 - 3 Pointers Interested in shooting the ball at all three levels? Click Here
