We love working with players to get better! The athletes are motivated and determined to get better at a skill or skills so they can help their team be successful. We are here to guide them along in this journey of getting better and push them beyond their comfort zone to encounter that improvement and confidence they are seeking. We usually do there simple things for workouts: 1. Ask the kids what they want to improve or need to improve. 2. Focus on 3 specific skills per month. No more! Trying to do to much can hinder development. 3. Progress from skills work to actual game application of the skill. In this video we are focused on the between the leg dribble. Making that quick change of direction and speed. The first drill just focuses on the ballhandling move itself as well as scoring at the rim. While drill #2 involved a guided defender simulating the defense cutting the offense off on a drive following ball reversal who has to make the change of direction dribble move and finish at the rim. Just a small portion of a workout, but just after several workouts you can see the players gain confidence in the dribble move as well as understanding when to use the dribble move.
