It's the little things.
We hear it all the time.
Do the little things everyday and it will pay off.
Well, the little things in basketball can be really hard to see. Unless you watch the game for the details.
These 3 plays are nice! Really good moves that result in scores for the player and the team.
It's the little things of change of speed, shake of the shoulders, and the patience that really stand out to me.
She is driving middle each possession, but how she gets to her spot to score is different.
1st clip - she really starts quickly and attacks the D.
2nd Clip - she use a quick and clever dribble move to get defense off balance. Then attacks.
3rd Clip - walks the defender in with patience and tempo for a nice pull up jumper.
Good things can happen from the trailer spot in transition.
As that player do these things to help the team:
#1 Run to space that's open. Make D come find you.
#2 Get in the sight of the ballhandler. This makes you and option for them on penetration.
As a player, we are looking at 3 moves to score from the trailer position.
#1. Drive and finish
#2. Pull up jumper
#3. 3 Pointer - making this shot can really stretch the D.
