The ability to MAKE SHOTS is so good at spacing the floor. That ability to MAKE SHOTS keeps open driving lanes open. Forces defense into long closeouts which is difficult to do. Gives players the opportunity to make the extra pass to open teammates who can MAKE SHOTS. Making shots HELPS teams win games.
Making shots GIVES players a chance to play more and HELP the team. Lets also figure along with scoring, they play defense, work hard in practice, defend, and are a good teammates too. We all know it takes more than making shots to contribute, but MAKING SHOTS helps. Catch and Shoot and Cut, Catch, and Shoot are two ways to make shots. Having this ability does several things: 1. Creates space for teammates to drive and create openings 2. Forces defense to guard the player or be aware of where that player is on the floor. The ball goes to the players who can handle it or score it. If players want to stay the same, that is always an option. However, if players want to change and elevate their ability to score. |
