As we study basketball players at a variety of levels the good players seem to have similar skills.
One of this similarities is the ability to change direction, quickly and efficiently to create an advantage. Second, once they change direction they can change speeds to really take advantage of the change of direction.
It's looks simple, but it has come from years of preparing, training, studying the game, playing the game, and ultimately wanting to be great.
Watch this short 40 second clip of one of the best point guards in the country. Change direction + Change of Speed = Opportunities to make plays.
