During the season all players are tested in a certain manner. Each player shows up to the games or practices and are tested mentally and physically by different challenges.
Sometimes it's a bad shooting day. Sometimes they get yelled at a lot for messing up in practice. Sometimes they are challenged by teammates. Sometimes it is nothing to do with basketball, but it is a distraction.
It says a lot about the players persistence by their willingness to charge into the action in spite of the road blocks.
One key to help each player deal with these challenges is to recognize that it is coming. The challenges are coming. The ups and downs are coming.
But have them remember - persist. Continue to charge forward, they will succeed. Continue to show up each day with a positive attitude and a contagious work ethic.
Here at EYG we are passionate about guiding players through this process of being persistent.
