Seeing your son, daughter, or player make shots is rewarding and benefits the team in a variety of ways. We emphasis 3 things when working on catch and shoot: #1 - Feet ready. That means the athletes feet are in position and ready to shoot. On balance. #2 - Hands ready. Show the passer where you want the ball. Where you can get the shot off quick. #3 - Freeze the follow through. Hold it up there until you see the ball go in. Making shots takes having a plan and consistently executing that plan. Once you have a plan for that shooting workout. Consistently execute that plan. Record it! Write it down! See where you have gotten better and where improvement needs to be made.
