![]() Why do players need to train extra? They already do so much with their teams. High school teams and club teams practice all the time. Well, here are 4 reasons extra training is really good for players #1. Get to the next next level. If you have the urge to do more or be more or believe you want to be better. Go from 2nd to 1st team. Go from JV to Varsity. Play in College. Prepare for your college season. #2 Struggling. Every player hits a wall or a difficult stretch in shooting or just playing well. Skills training can lead them out of the slump. #3 Doing the Same Thing. Playing the same way over and over and over again with little to no change in a players game. Training can provide new ways and support to make it out of this plateau. #4 Doubting or questioning Yourself Not playing with confidence leads to playing worse. And it's not fun. This fear or lack of confidence has to be removed so players can play their best. When players are ready to move beyond their current playmaking abilities there is a solution. Know what they want. Form a Plan. Train Consistently. Elevate their game. It takes work and becoming a bit uncomfortable but the challenge of this process will pay off. Having a professional guide a player during the process can allow them to see the light of what type of player they can become.
